It has been a while since I’ve done this, so maybe it’s the moment of another summary of what’s up with my writing. Summer has brought over more than just scorching heat.
Story submissions: while I’ve got a shortlisting (eventually rejected) from one of my dream pro-markets (sigh), I still managed to make some sales, to be announced as soon as I sign the contracts. The one already inked is with Startling Stories, the new magazine of the well-known editor Doug Draa (Weirdbook).
Poetry: same here, and among things I can announce there’s my second one to Star*line (the journal of SFPA) and a short poem to Unstamatic (a new online literary zine of experimental writing).
A few things fresh from the press:
- One of my flashes, The Secret Language of Drones, was published in Speculative City (read it here).
- Another flash, We, the Ravens of Bai Gao Lou, was included in Asian Birds & Beasts, with Insignia Stories (excerpt here).
- After the Orange, another B Cubed Press Anthology (where I have a story, Tarantula), is now available for sale on Amazon.
- Another horror-themed poem, Homecoming, appeared on Untimely Frost: Poetry Unthawed.
